LIMPOPO – The Police in Tshilwavhusiku outside Makhado have launched a manhunt for a man who attacked and raped a 92-year-old woman at around 21:00 on Saturday, 21 March.
It is alleged the suspect broke into the home of the victim and attacked her while she was asleep. He thereafter raped her and then fled the scene according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
The police appealed to anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspect involved, to contact Lt Col Maphefo Matshavha at 082 451 7163 , the crime stop number at 086 001 0111 or the nearest police station.
This comes almost three weeks after a 101-year-old woman was attacked and raped in her house at Mogapeng village outside Tzaneen on Sunday, 1 March.
