Boshomane was traced to a local tavern in Mogoto village outside Zebediela by a special task team and WO Legodi was assigned to the case for further investigations. Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said in a statement that Boshomane was ultimately sentenced to three life imprisonment sentences by the Polokwane High Court on Tuesday, 17 March.

On the same day, 23-year-old Kgothatso David Thutlwa was sentenced to three life imprisonment sentences without the option of a fine by the Lephalale Regional Court.
