7 business robbers sought by police in Mokopane

Police appeal to the person in the picture to make himself available to the Mokopane Police or his nearest police station to assist with the investigation.

LIMPOPO – A manhunt has been launched by the South African Police Service’s dedicated joint task team, which comprises of Mokopane detectives and the Crime Intelligence Unit, for a group of unknown suspects who are alleged to be involved in a business robbery incident that occurred at a distribution company in the industrial area of Mokopane in January.

It is alleged that the incident occurred at about 01:00 on 3 January. Seven unknown suspects wearing balaclavas confronted and tied up a security guard (56) with wire at gunpoint.

Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said in a statement that two safes were opened with a grinder and that the group fled the scene with over R300 000.
He further stated that two blasting cartridges together with five electronic detonators were found in a nearby bush.
