[LISTEN] Services will continue at Matlala Police Station

MEC of Transport and Community Safety, Dickson Masemola was on the scene on Monday to inspect the damage caused by a fire on Sunday afternoon

LIMPOPO – A mobile Service Centre is in place at the Matlala Police Station to offer policing services to about 93 villages in the area following a fire that gutted parts of the station on Sunday at around 16:00.

It is believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault that started in the server office. The Community Service Center (CSC) and the admin block were complete gutted and data lines destroyed in the fire.

MEC of Transport and Community Safety, Dickson Masemola was on the scene on Monday to inspect the damage caused and to verify that services are still being rendered.

“While police investigations into the fire are underway, we urge the residents from the surrounding area to continue visiting the station for any policing service,” Masemola concluded.
