Woman in court for sexual assault of toddler (2)

LIMPOPO – The incident occurred at Seleteng Makaepea on 25 February. According to police reports the two-year-old girl was playing in her neighbour’s yard when the accused called her into her house and assaulted her. It is alleged the toddler went home after the incident and told her mother who immediately took her to the local clinic. The child had sustained injuries and nurses at the said clinic  later referred the mother to the local hospital.

The (FCS) Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit was informed and investigations led to the arrest of the accused. The accused is expected to reappear on 7 April.
