Tebogo Molepo, an educator and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) facilitator from the Botlokwa area was a runner-up in the recent National Teaching Awards category for Excellence in Teaching Technology, Enhanced Teaching and Learning.
Molepo who is attached to Kgwadu Primary School in Sekonye village walked away with a certificate of achievement and a trophy.
He said this achievement will contribute to his quest of ensuring that learners in rural areas are advanced with the latest trends in technology.
“Our school is based in a rural area and most of the learners are not exposed to technology and Information Technology. It is therefore our duty as ICT facilitators to find creative ways to give out quality education using technology in the classroom. I also want to develop young educators and ICT facilitators in the area. I would like to see learners using technology effectively for a good purpose.”
