POLOKWANE – The Easter weekend is fast approaching and according to statistics from the past, accidents during this time of the year are very high. With this in mind the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) encourages anyone who meets the blood donor criteria, to donate blood. Your blood can save someone’s life.
Currently the blood stock levels are at 3,6 days, meaning if there are no incoming blood there will be no blood at all in little more than three days. SANBS have three donor centres across the province where readers can go and donate blood from 10:00 to 17:00 (may vary from day to day and city to city) or mobile clinics.
