#WFD – Mac and Cheese Jenga Stacks

Serve stacked up on a plate with cucumber and carrot sticks.

POLOKWANE – You know of the classic Mac n Cheese dish, but we bet you’ve never had it like this before!

What’s for Dinner says not only does it taste great , but this dish is also loads of fun to make.

Ingredients

  1. 3 large eggs
  2. 2 x KNORR Macaroni Cheese and Bacon Flavour Pasta and Sauce
  3. 12 cucumber and carrot sticks
  4. 1 tsp Robertsons Mixed Herbs
  5. 125ml flour
  6. 2 cup fresh or dried breadcrumbs
  7. 5 tbsp oil (for frying)

Method

  1. Prepare the KNORR Macaroni Cheese and Bacon Flavour Pasta and Sauce following the instructions on the packet.
  2. Cool slightly and stir in 1 beaten egg.
  3. Pour into a small, lined 20 cm x 20 cm baking dish or loaf tin.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or until solid.
  5. In a bowl mix together breadcrumbs and herbs.
  6. Place flour in a bowl, and remaining 2 eggs in another bowl.
  7. Cut the macaroni and cheese into rectangles.
  8. Roll each piece in flour to coat, then dip in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  9. Fry in hot oil until crispy and golden.
  10. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
  11. Serve stacked up on a plate with cucumber and carrot sticks.
