LIMPOPO – A 42-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 27 February for the illegal cultivation of dagga plants.
His arrests comes after police followed up on a tip-off about the existence of these plants at a homestead in Hlalampya informal settlement near Bela Bela.
Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlfela Mojapelo says on arrival at the said premises the officers found 36 dagga plants.
The estimated street value is R3 000 and the man was arrested on the spot.
He is expected to appear in the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court soon.
