POLOKWANE – Alfredo is a pasta dish made from fettuccine tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter.

As the cheese melts, it emulsifies the liquids to form a smooth and rich sauce coating on the pasta.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tbsp stork margarine
  2. 450g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  3. 1 onion, thinly sliced
  4. 280g mushrooms, quartered
  5. 1 x KNORR Alfredo Pasta and Sauce

Method

  1. Heat the Stork Margarine in frying pan, add onions, chicken strips and mushrooms and cook gently until chicken is done.
  2. Turn heat to lowest possible setting. Checking and stirring from time to time.
  3. In separate pan, cook the KNORR Alfredo Pasta & Sauce according to directions on the packaging.
  4. Bring up the heat of the frying pan, and add the pasta, tossing the pasta occasionally to mix through.
  5. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and season with black pepper if required. Serve immediately.
