LIMPOPO – A 36-year-old  man has been arrested in connection with the murder of the 27-year-old student from Lephalale TVET college.

The man was arrested at Marapong township outside Lephalale town, confirmed Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapleo in a statement this afternoon.

“He is currently being profiled to determine his possible involvement in other serious crimes and is expected to appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 12 February,” he adds.

Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Genl Nneke Ledwaba has commended the police for the swift arrest of the suspect.

LIMPOPO –  The police are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of the body of 27-year-old Tshidi Mocheko.

Mocheko’s body was discovered outside a house at Onverwacht, Lephalale on Monday at around 09:00, says Police Spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo.

“The owner of the said house, who is said to be the sister of the deceased’s boyfriend, reported the discovery to the police. On arrival the police found the deceased lying in a pool of blood. She had sustained multiple stab wounds,” Mojapelo explains.

The deceased was a student at Lephalale TVET College.

The police are calling on Lesiba Zachariah Moabi (36), to avail himself at Lephalale Police Station or any nearest police station to assist in the investigation of this case.

They further urge anyone with information about this incident or who knows the whereabouts of Zachariah Moabi, to contact Capt Hlungwane at 0825657968. Alternatively they can also contact the 24-hour Crime Stop number at 0860010111.
