376 arrests made in Limpopo thanks to ongoing joint operations
The operations were conducted through road blocks, stop and searches and the tracing of wanted suspects.
LIMPOPO – Members of the South African Police Service in all clusters of the province have arrested 376 suspects for various offences thanks to intelligence led, simultaneous joint operations.
Detectives and members of the Crime Prevention, K9 Unit, the Tactical Response Team (TRT), the Crime Intelligence Unit and the Police Operational Command Centre (POCC) were part of the operations which were conducted through road blocks, stop and searches and the tracing of wanted suspects.

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, said in a statement that the arrests were made for various criminal activities such as burglary, theft, possession of suspected stolen properties, possession of firearms and ammunition without license, public drinking, contravention of the Liquor Act, contravention of the Immigration Act and assault.
Two firearms with 10 rounds of ammunition, one rifle with nine rounds of ammunition, three motor vehicles, a pellet gun, two plasma TV’s, four speakers, two Sony speakers, a DVD player, Volkano bluetooth speakers, a MP3 and 151,75 kg of dagga and liquor were some of the recovered items.
The suspects will appear before various magistrate’s courts across the province.
The efforts made by the operational members were praised by the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lt Gen Nneke Jim Ledwaba.
Further investigations to determine the origin of the stolen items are underway and police investigations are continuing.
