Influential blogger receives Presidential Award for Leadership

The awards are presented by the presidential store and were founded by Nelson Mandela himself.

LIMPOPO – Ambitious young businessman, blogger and entrepreneur, Mashao Seabela is the latest recipient of the Presidential Award for Leadership.

The Turfloop native told BONUS that he was nominated as recognition for setting a good example in the way he dresses and for recently establishing his company, MS Digital.

MS Digital is an agency that provides world-class social media solutions to both big and small brands.

The awards are presented by the presidential store, conceived from the shirts made famous by Nelson Mandela and were founded by Mandela himself.

The programme’s vision is to become the self-development programme of choice for young people in South Africa and to empower young people between the ages of 14 and 25, by providing a balanced, non-competitive framework for self-development that will increase their self-esteem and enhance their capacity to achieve in whatever context they find themselves.

This will enable them to become responsible active citizens within their communities.

Seabela discovered his interest in visual blogging in 2015 and used the platform to discuss fashion and other related topics. His business offers social media management, audits and campaign strategies, leading any brand into rapid evolution.

“MS Digital provides two freelancers with work and that is a step towards achieving one of my dreams; creating jobs and empowering the youth in our country. I feel honoured for being awarded by such a big organisation linked to Nelson Mandela. For me to have been selected for the little things I do that will carry Madiba’s legacy means a lot to me.

“All I can do is hope and pray that God gives me more time to achieve, even if it is just a tiny bit of what Tata Mandela did for this country, and build my own legacy,” he added.
