Limpopo government is on high alert following five suspected cases of Coronavirus reported in Botswana recently.
Provincial government spokesperson Kenny Mathivha emphasised that Pietersburg Provincial Hospital has been chosen to deal with all the suspected Coronavirus cases in Limpopo. He indicated that the province was on full alert as he mentioned that the Department of Health was working closely with the national Department of Health on safety measures. Mathivha concluded by saying no cases of Coronavirus have been reported in the province. It was learnt that Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba visited Pietersburg Provincial Hospital on Tuesday to assess the preparedness for containment, isolation and case management on the spread of Coronavirus. It was further reported that the hospital has revamped and converted a facility to be used as an isolation area for Coronavirus patients.
