LIMPOPO – The police are looking for a group of people responsible for the murder of a 65-year-old taxi owner from Louis Trichardt.
Ailwei Samuel Tshifhango was shot and killed at his home in the New Town surbub of Louis Trichardt on Tuesday evening between 17:00 and 18:00.
Police reports indicate that the deceased was entering his home when he was attacked by a group of armed suspects and shot. The suspects thereafter fled the scene in two vehicles, a back VW Jetta and a whote VW Polo. The registration of both vehicles is not known, says Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
Tshifhango was immediately taken to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The motive behind the incident is not clear at this stage but the police have not ruled out taxi violence. Police investigation continue.
