Two people allegedly burnt to death after a wooden shack reportedly caught fire in the George’s Valley area on Saturday.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that an inquest docket has been registered. He said two persons were allegedly sitting around a fire in their wooden shack when the structure caught fire.
The blaze spread to seven other shacks which were totally gutted by the flames. The Police were called to the scene and during investigations officers discovered the bodies of two people who had burnt beyond recognition.
Ngoepe remarked that the circumstances surrounding the incident were not clear yet but that the process to identify the deceased was continuing.
