Miss Limpopo Model of the Year wants to do more

She currently studies for a BSc degree in molecular and life sciences.

POLOKWANE – A desire to not conform to the limitations of her fear is what pushed Annah Bopape into the modelling industry.

“I wanted to put myself out there and be an inspiration to others and that overtook all my fears and replaced them with courage and determination,” she told Review. Growing up, Annah was inspired by African models in the pageantry world which led her to winning 12 competitions. Originating from Ga-Matsia, the 20-year-old currently studies for a BSc degree in molecular and life sciences at the University of Limpopo (UL).

The reigning Limpopo Model of the Year 2019/20 boasts other titles which includes first princess at Miss Valentine 2019, second princess at Miss Tshware 2019, Miss Personality Devoted 2019, Miss Mothapo and Miss Seshego 2019.

“I was honoured to have won. I use the title to help where I can in my community. I always try my best to make our city and province a better one by helping and volunteering at shelters in Polokwane. Rome was not built in a day, never lose hope and prepare even harder for the next competition,” she advised.

Prior to the competition, Annah prepared herself to do a lot of projects if she was to win the title. ” I currently collect secondhand clothes to help clothe children at the orphanages and drop-in centres in and outside Polokwane. I have also partnered with Pink Box Project to collect sanitary towels for girls and I also organise activities such as soccer and local pageants, to help keep the children off the streets,” she added.

Annah said that she is busy doing more research on what other projects she can do to assist girls and boys, to become better queens and heroes of tomorrow.
“If we learn to help others, then the world would become a better place where we have less crime and less bad influences in our society,” she concluded.
