He wants to prove that it is not where you are from that matters, it's where you are going.
POLOKWANE – Marlon Andreas is changing the face of the modelling industry.
The 22-year-old from Westenburg has his roots firmly planted in the fashion industry. His love for fashion made centre stage from a very young age and his bold fashion choices have always made a big fashion statement. “My aunt told me that at the age of six, I styled my cousins and conducted a fashion show. I always thought I had something special in me but after hearing that story, it just confirmed it,” he explained.
Growing up, his love for fashion was evident, not only to his family but at school as well.
He added that despite this revelation, studying fashion was only his third option. His first choice was to pursue a business degree but he soon realised that this choice was not his choice, but his parents’. “When I accepted that I could no longer ignore the passion I had for fashion, I was overcome with the fear of having to tell my parents that fashion was what I really wanted to study,” he said.
Having found the guts to break it to his parents, he now lives his dream of forging a legacy in the fashion industry. He is signed to Rage Models and is having the time of life building his brand. Speaking of his brand he said…
