Two teens and a toddler (2) missing in Limpopo

The police appeal to residents of Limpopo to help locate the three victims from Ga-Chuene, Marble Hall and Ga-Mphahlele areas respectively.

LIMPOPO – The police are investigating two separate cases of missing persons in the Lebowakgomo area and a third in the Marble Hall area. Each case happened separately the police appeal to anyone with information about the missing persons to contact their nearest police station, the 24-hour Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or the numbers provided below, said Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

In the Lebowakgomo area, two-year-old Lethabo Mashiane went missing from his grandparent’s house on Monday, 13 January.  According to reports the child’s grandmother left him with her husband at their house in Ga-Chuene- Marulaneng village at around 18:00. Later the same evening she received a call to return home immediately as the child was nowhere to be found. A search for the child continued until 20:00 without any success.

In a separate incident, 19-year-old Boitumelo Mami Mphahlele from Seleteng village, Ga-Mphahlele went missing from her parental home on Saturday, 11 January.

It is alleged that she was last seen by her father at about 22:00 and when the family noticed that she was not at home the next morning, they notified the police and a search was conducted in the area with no success.

Anyone with information that can assist the police to find the two missing persons, can contact Warrant Officer Leolo at 084 039 9671.

Meanwhile in the Marble Hall area a 17-year-old Kgopotso Choshana went missing from her parental home in Leeufontein on 3 December 2019. Her family alleged that they last saw her the evening before she went to sleep and only noticed she was missing the next morning.

The search was launched and efforts to find her at relatives and close friends were unsuccessful. Kgopotso is described as tall and light in complexion. It is not known the clothes she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Search operations for all three victims still continue, Ngoepe concluded.
