[LISTEN] MEC Masemola to meet with Seshego residents

The MEC for Transport and Safety, Namane Dickson Masemola and the Provincial Police Commissioner Lt. Gen. Nneke Ledwaba will engage with the residents following the torching of property on Sunday. 

POLOKWANE –  On Sunday members from the community and political parties rallied together in the fight against crime and gangsterism in the area.

During this incident property was torched.  The rally followed the murder of 19-year-old Thoriso Kgomo and the subsequent uproar after video footage sent by the teenager accused of his murder, surfaced on social media.

MEC Masemola to meet with Seshego residents by Polokwane Review – new

The MEC has since condemned this incident and he together with Ledwaba will engage with the residents regarding this unrest in the area. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 14 January at 18:00 at Pholosha-Ditshaba ELCSA in zone 3. All residents are encouraged to attend.

The Provincial Police Commissioner has also instructed the police to enforce the law and deal with the crime situation in the township swiftly.

He also advised residents not to take the law into their own hands.
