[WATCH] Youth take to the streets, demand justice for Thoriso

The march is called the Justice For Thoriso Kgomo March with the aim of justice being served in his murder case.

POLOKWANE – The youth of Seshego have marched to the Seshego Circle from 19-year-old Thoriso Kgomo’s home.
Kgomo from Luthuli Park was stabbed to death on New Year’s Evening in Seshego zone 3.

According to Joel Seabi, Spokesperson for the MEC, the police have arrested three suspects (of which one is a 17-year-old) for various counts which include assault GBH, rape and for the recent murder of Kgomo.

The 17-year-old has since been arrested and appeared in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 30 January for a formal bail application. The suspect was out on bail for rape and there is a robbery case against him being investigated by the Lebowakgomo police.

The march is called the Justice For Thoriso Kgomo March with the aim of justice being served in his murder case.

Emotions are still raw and the South African Youth Council (SAYC) earlier today called for the Department of Transport and Community Safety to investigate and deal with those involved after a video surfaced on social media allegedly taken by one of these perpetrators.
The youth were addressed by activists and hope that justice will be served.
