[WATCH] Services at Polokwane Traffic Department temporarily suspended due to protest action

The protest actions are against alleged nepotism within the Polokwane Municipality

POLOKWANE – Municipal services at the licensing department were disrupted by striking South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) members, who were protesting against the appointment of general workers within the municipality.

When Review visited the premises at around 12:00 today, we were refused entry by the singing and chanting protestors. Visitors to the department were told to leave the premises, as no services could be rendered. Phones of the department also went unanswered for most parts of the morning.

Sanco is an organisation representing disadvantaged communities and last week started protest actions against the alleged nepotism of the Polokwane Mayor, Thembi Nkadimeng.
