Edgy makeup for day or night time
Makeup artist and owner of Clique Glamor, Mokgadi Nyuswe explains that edgy makeup has the power to be immensely transforming.
POLOKWANE – Your eye makeup speaks volumes about your style, when it is done right. “You actually do not have to be a makeup pro or a beauty guru to achieve big, bold and gorgeous eyes. There are endless ways to do an excellent job with your eyes and I will help you achieve that,” she added.
She said that edgy makeup is bold, rebellious and a look which will make a statement. “Makeup is the final step to any look and people show style and creativity through it which helps your personality to pop. An edgy look gives freedom to experiment with deep colours,” she said.
Colours such as burgundy, navy, purple, black and dark brown are ideal to use to get that bold look. “You have options to play around with your colours, you can either have subtle eyes and bold lips, bold eyes and neutral lips and for the ultimate all-out edgy look, coordinate your lipstick and eye-shadow colours. For your colours to be intense, spray your brush with setting spray for pigmentation and you are set and ready to go. For the pretty eye-shadow oriented look, use a shiny pink or purple eye-shadow which blends in together, match it with the same colour lipstick.”
To complete your look, you can use liquid eyeliner to create a crisp wing at the edge of the eye. “Edgy makeup is fun, yet festive and looks beautiful in day or night time,” she concluded.
