[TAKE NOTE] Stop signs erected at following intersections within city

This is part of the Polokwane Municipality's six month project to ease traffic flow in the city.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality is still in the process of erecting new traffic lights at busy intersections within the city and warn the public that stop signs have been temporarily erected in these areas.

Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says the traffic lights are not yet in operation but stop signs have been installed and encourages motorists to obey the signs in order to avoid accidents. The municipality urged road users to treat these intersections as four-way stops and to cooperate with point duty officers and other road law enforcers who are visible at the busiest intersections in an effort to ease traffic flows within the municipality.

The affected intersections include:
• Rissik and Bok;
• Thabo Mbeki and Paul Kruger;
• Thabo Mbeki and Oost;
• Magazyn and Rissik;
• Magazyn and Devenish;
• Marshall and Gazelle;
• Grobler and Oost; and
• Marshall and Paul Kruger.
