The navigator bag helps to keep your child safe

The bag has been created by The Movement in an effort to keep children safe.

LIMPOPO – South Africa is no longer a safe place for children to live in. Many of them are being kidnapped, raped and killed daily.

In an effort to keep the children safe, The Movement invented a bag called ‘navigator’ which will ensure their safety.

The co-founder of The Movement, Phatu Madima said: “The reason why we created this bag is to reduce the ever increasing number of kidnappings of children in our country. The bag has a panic button which is connected to a phone. When the parents buys the bag, we take the cellphone number of the parent or legal guardian and connect it to the panic button. The panic button can alert you on your cellphone when your kid is in danger and sends their location to you. It also has a call option where you just call the panic button to check up on your child. We lose our sisters, aunts and mothers everyday and we need a way to protect them and save them from being kidnapped, raped and killed,” Phatu added.

He said making the bag was not easy.

“We are a group of young boys and we do not have a lot of money. We are doing everything by ourselves but we need someone to help us or invest in this African dream. We seek financial assistance from business people and the government.”
