Patel wife’s murder case postponed to January

POLOKWANE – Double murder accused, Rameez Patel appeared in the Polokwane High Court this morning, and his trial was postponed to 27 January.

Patel stands accused of the murder of his wife Fatima in 2015. He  also stands accused of the murder of his mother, Mahjabeen in 2017.

In November last year Razeen, brother of the accused, testified in court that Rameez confessed to him that he had killed Fatima.

In July Judge Joseph Raulinga dismissed Patel’s application to discharge him on the charge of his wife’s murder.
