POLOKWANE – The employees swapped roles for a day on Thursday, 28 November.
It was a fun career and role-swapping day as the ICU Unit Managers and Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator as well as others swapped roles to be cleaners while some were receptionists.
Netcare Pholoso Hospital General Manager, Fabion Bennett told BONUS that although some of the employees swapped roles for the day, some nurses and other employees remained at their usual positions so that operations could continue smoothly and without risk to patients. He added that the process of role swapping allows employees to think beyond the limited scope of their tasks and become more innovative.
“Role-swapping is fun and helps the employees develop the tendency of practical application of the knowledge acquired through this learning process.
“It is a fun way to get to know one another within the hospital and the employees get to feel the pressure of their fellow employees’ experience,” he added.
