Former Director for 2010 Fifa World Cup, Ndavhe Ramakuela was recently appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA).
Ramakuela the agency’s Executive Management Committee comprising of Nomasonto Ndlovu (Chief Executive Officer), Bibi Kotsedi (Company Secretary), Noah Lion (Chief Financial Officer) and Sello Maleka (Chief Corporate Services Officer).
He comes into the position with wealth of experience in administration, marketing and communication.
He was the Deputy Director Publications at the then University of the North from 2001 to 2003. He served as a Communications and Stakeholder Relations Manager for Capricorn District Municipality from 2003 to 2007 and Director of Community Development at the Polokwane Municipality from February 2013 until January 2015.
His responsibilities will include but are not limited to the ensuring the implementation of the tourism marketing strategy, tourism information services, conventions bureau, stakeholders relations and digital marketing.
Ndlovu was quoted in a statement to have said the appointment of Ramakuela was a key and important one moreover because he was familiar with the operations and mandate of the entity. “He comes with extensive experience from public sector and academic world. We have full confidence in him to lead the core division of our entity to new heights and wish him all the best in his new responsibility.”
Ramakuela was quoted to have said he was delighted to join the agency, a place that he has had interaction with over the years when working within local government. “The tasks ahead are huge, especially with the current economic situation. The pleasure of doing this job is knowing that Limpopo has potential to grow its tourism spread using various opportunities, especially through partnerships with various stakeholder.”
