Cops to reach out with campaign in city

The Police and other stakeholders are expected to host a community outreach in the city tomorrow (Friday) to highlight the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
Provincial Police Communications Head Motlafela Mojapelo indicated that the programme was envisioned to start at 09:00 with a prayer session in the basement of the Polokwane Police Station.
The programme will then continue at 10:00 in the parking area of Limpopo Mall where the Police brass band as well as the Zion Christian Church St. Engenas band would entertain people while the Police and other stakeholders would interact with community members.
Mojapelo added that besides the Police the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Social Development, Department of Labour, Department of Transport and Community Safety, Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (Ledet), Community Policing Forums as well as representatives of taxi associations were expected to be part of the campaign.
