Limpopo is ‘hot and uncomfortable’ says SAWS
Polokwane and most parts of Limpopo have been placed under a special weather advisory by the South African Weather Service.
LIMPOPO – The South African Weather Service has advised residents of Limpopo to stay hydrated and keep out of the sun, especially between 11:00 and 15:00.
A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected places over Limpopo while other areas will have hot and humid weather which will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions.
What is a special weather advisory?
An alert raising awareness up to 5 days in advance to either expected large scale potential disruptive weather system that could later lead to specific watches/ warning with time, or to less urgent alerts of uncommon conditions – SAWS
Extremely hot conditions are expected in the lowveld of Limpopo on Friday and will continue until at least Sunday.
Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions in the Limpopo valley and western bushveld until at least Sunday.
