LIMPOPO – The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Genl Neke Ledwaba has condemned the incident where five lions were killed and decapitated on a farm in the Northam policing area and has appointed a team of investigators to track down the persons involved.

This after the carcasses of five lions were discovered on the farm at around 08:00 on Wednesday, 20 November. Preliminary investigations revealed that the lions may have been fed chicken meat which was laced with poison and that the perpetrators gained entrance onto the farm by cutting the fence, said Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo.
