LIMPOPO – According to a report issued by the Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Maoremi-Taueatsoala the incident happened at around 08:00.
It is alleged that the one vehicle attempted to overtake when it was unsafe to do so and collided head-on with the other. Two people were killed and four sustained injuries which range from critical to serious.
The driver and passenger of the one vehicle, a man (20s) and a woman (30s), died at the scene. Another two passengers were critically injured and the driver and a passenger from the other vehicle sustained serious injuries.
The injured were taken to a hospital in Botlokwa. The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but a case of reckless driving is being investigated.
