Got your tickets for ‘Strange, but True’?

The energy is pumping and the laughter is polished for the Strange but True event to be held on Thursday, 21 November at 18:30 at Bolivia Lodge’s Limpopo Hall.

POLOKWANE – Two teams of three persons each will compete against each other to collect the most points for their skill in telling stories (lies and truths), playing an array of games and ensuring loads of laughter for the audience.

The two teams are DDKK Attorneys who will be represented by Adele van der Linde, Sybrand van Oudtshoorn and Theresa van Zyl and The Limpopo Toyota team, that will include Janie Wierenga, Aggie Ströh and Brian Fraser. A group of personalities from the community were elected by each team to share their stories, photos and intimate information to be used as content for the evening’s quiz between the two teams. Each personality is responsible for selling one table at R1 200 per table, which will seat 10 people. Each table can bring their own picnic basket with food.

Drinks will not be allowed, seeing that Bolivia Lodge will have a cash bar available.Wimpie Redelinghuys and ZC Hatting will ensure that there is quality sound for the night and our very own Musiekfabriek will be Amrian Terblanche with Martin van der Westhuizen and his brother, Janus. They will keep you guessing about old, new and famous songs.

The audience will play along and the teams will have their music knowledge and vocal qualities tested.Chris Pelser from Provideo Productions will ensure that every detail of the event is captured on camera. Dia van Staden, the referee and organiser of the event, will make sure that the allocation of points run free and fair. Or not?

Games will include those similar to ‘Stomstreke’, Are you smarter than a fifth grader, Whose line is it anyway and ‘Spekskieters’ games, to mention a few. The audience will be interactive throughout the evening and will be required to play along. A percentage of the money raised will be donated to the SAVF Limpopo.

The audience is requested to bring R10 notes along to play a few additional games.Games will be played in Afrikaans and English.
