Heavy downpours expected in parts of the city
The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for the possibility of severe thunderstorms in parts of the city this evening.
POLOKWANE – The weather service also says a large amount of small hail and heavy downpours are possible over Polokwane and Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality between 17:00 and 19:00 this evening. The storm is moving northeastwards.
Seeing that the thunderstorm season is upon us, here is a reminder of the difference between normal and severe thunderstorms.
