Malamulele teacher honoured at National Teachers’ Awards

The best primary teacher in both the Vhembe District and at provincial level is Malamulele teacher, Florence Bekwa.

LIMPOPO – She received an award at the National Teachers’ Awards which was recently held at The Protea Ranch Hotel, Polokwane.

According to her, this was a dream becoming a reality and she dedicated the award to her learners of Magangeni Primary School in Malamulele.

“I would like to thank God, my learners and my colleagues who are always supportive and who make my job easier. My motivation is to develop our community through producing the best learners.

“As a teacher I am a parent and have to show love to all my learners,” said Bekwa

She indicated that she always motivates her learners to read their books and focus on their education.

The Mayor of Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Moses Malulekem and Bishop Elijah Mtileni applauded Bekwa for her achievement and urged other teachers to emulate her.

“We are happy to have teachers who are dedicated to their work,as education is another tool that can help develop our communities,” she said.
