Sebastin connected his way to the top of Cell C’s rankings

In 2012 he was promoted to CEO Escalations Manager, and five years later, in 2017, he was promoted into the senior leadership ranks, as Executive of the Northern region, and that's when he relocated to Polokwane

POLOKWANE – Young and ambitious, Managing Executive for Cell C Limpopo region, Sebastin Samuel (30), grew up in Verulam, a small village north of Durban. Raised by a single mother, his humble beginnings pushed him to never accept mediocrity or average.

Armed with passion, always looking neat and presentable, determined, pride and a mega thirst for knowledge, Sebastin’s aspiration to reach executive management level has seen his corporate dream come true.

Today, he looks after a sizeable region, and remains someone his colleagues and friends can look up to.

Growing up, he attended primary school in Durban, and completed matric in 2006 at Glenhaven Secondary School, and later attended Wits Business School in Parktown, Johannesburg, where he completed an NQF 7 course, a tailor-made course for Cell C, titled ‘Leading and Growing your Business.’ “Life is not about how you start the race, it’s rather about how you finish it,” he added.

Sebastin commenced his career at Cell C in 2008, where he initially worked as a Customer Care Agent in their Durban Westville call center.

“But with my passion and extreme ambition for customers, service and technology, I soon worked my way up to technical support within Cell C,” he added. He later relocated to Johannesburg to take up an exciting opportunity in the CEO’s office, filling the post of CEO Escalations Officer.

In 2012 he was promoted to CEO Escalations Manager, and five years later, in 2017, he was promoted into the senior leadership ranks, as Executive of the Northern region, and that’s when he relocated to Polokwane. Within Cell C, Sebastin is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company, and also responsible for oversight, implementation and audit of environmental, social and related policies, and more within the company.

“I’ve been staying in Polokwane for quite some time now, and I must say that I love this province and its people.

“Everyone is friendly, and at Cell C, we take care of our customers and make sure that our products are of good quality all the time,” he added.
