Muni: City’s water supply affected due to pipe burst on Specon pipeline and loadshedding

Repairs to the Specon pipeline will take around four hours to complete

POLOKWANE – Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) has stopped the Olifantspoort plant to allow technicians to repair a pipe burst on the Specon pipeline.

In a statement, Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality, Thipa Selala says LNW has indicated that the repairs will take around four hours to complete and  normal water supply will be restored once the repairs are done.

Pumping of water to city via the Ebenezer plant has also been stopped due to loadshedding at the plant. The plant will be off until 13:00, explains Selala.

All areas of supply are affected and residents are urged to use water sparingly during this period.
