BREAKING NEWS – City faces second day of load shedding

After more than seven months without load shedding, the city today (Thursday) faces a second day of stage 1 and 2 load shedding between 09:00 and 23:00.
When load shedding was implemented yesterday, an announcement on Eskom’s website merely indicated that the situation is due to high demand or urgent maintenance being performed at certain power stations.
Enquiries at schools in the city revealed that no matric examinations were scheduled for today and that the load shedding will only affect subjects where computers have to be used.
Spokesperson for the Department of Education Sam Makondo could not be reached for comment at time of going to print.
The load shedding schedule may be accessed on Polokwane Municipality’s website https://www.polokwane.gov.za.
