You could win a fanTASTIC wedding dress designed by David Tlale

Inspired by the rich and vibrant mix of cultures in South Africa, fashion designer David Tlale in collaboration with Tastic Rice, has designed a one-of-a-kind traditional wedding dress which will be revealed at the African Fashion International (AFI) Joburg Fashion Week this month.

POLOKWANE – David hosted an event at Mekete Lodge on Thursday, 3 October where guests got together to find out more about the Win A Dress competition. One lucky bride-to-be will stand a chance to win a beautifully made gown for her wedding day, designed by David.

David told Bonus that in designing the dress, he took inspiration from the way in which he saw the country’s women and men express themselves during Heritage Month, as well as the memories of his mother while growing up.

“Being African means something unique to all of us and the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) platform gave the world a glimpse of what that expression can look like, in all its forms. I believe that every bride deserves a couture moment and I am excited to make one special bride’s dreams come to life,” David added.

Thembi Sehloho, Tiger Brands South Africa Marketing Director: rice and pasta, said that Tastic and David have embarked on a partnership to make one lucky bride’s dreams come true.

“We are all about celebrating life’s special occasions, and there are few moments bigger than one’s wedding. We are excited for the lucky winner to celebrate her special day with Tastic and her one-of-a-kind creation,” she added.

The event ended with a three-course candle-lit dinner prepared by Sithembiso ‘Chef Ndash’ Ndashe. The guests received Tastic goodie bags, with an exclusive design by David, as a token of appreciation for attending the event.

The competition will run across national and regional radio stations, as well as social media platforms from this month. The lucky winner will be announced in December.
