Cops arrest man in possession of 20 cellphone tower batteries, in Makhado

The man is expected to appear before the Makhado Magistrate's Court, soon.

LIMPOPO – A tip-off from the community has led to the arrest of a man for the possession of suspected stolen cellphone network batteries in an area outside Makhado on Saturday, 5 October.

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, says the man was followed by a team of Makhado Crime Prevention members, detectives and local security companies, and cornered at a building in the area.

He was arrested and 20 batteries, machinery and a white GWM vehicle were confiscated. The man is expected to appear before the Makhado Magistrate’s Court.
