Missing woman, Marina Kekena, found and is receiving medical treatment

Kekana allegedly left home in her vehicle at around 08:00 on Sunday, 29 September to run errands in Polokwane and never returned home.

POLOKWANE – Local missing woman, Marina Kekana has been found, according to Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

At the time of her disappearance, her husband told police that later that evening he received a phone call from an unknown number, and when he answered he heard his wife’s desperate plea for help. He said she told him she had been kidnapped and was being kept inside a locked shack before the call was cut off, and when he tried to call back the phone went straight to voice mail.

While Ngoepe confirmed that she had been found, he did not state when she was found and added that she is currently in hospital receiving medical treatment. 

“A search for those involved is still underway,” he concluded.
