Two men to appear in local court for murder of 23-year-old man

LIMPOPO – Two men charged with the murder of 23-year-old man in Sebayeng outside Mankweng, will soon appear in the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court.

In a statement, Police Spokesperson, Const Maphure Manamela said it is alleged the duo accosted the deceased at around 04:00, demanding cash. During the incident he was shot and injured and he later succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has since been identified as Thabiso Seabi, she added.
A manhunt was launched for the accused and members of the Visible Policing Unit and local detectives apprehended them a short while later. During the arrests, the police recovered a 9mm pistol, believed to be the murder weapon, with eight rounds of ammunition. Preliminary investigations revealed that the firearm was state issued, and was reported stolen at the Saps in Maake.
Police investigations continue, Manamela concluded.
