Muni: most areas without water due to leakages on Ebenezer pipeline

Water supply in the city is under strain with the levels of two of the city's reservoirs at 0%.

POLOKWANE – In a statement, Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality, Thipa Selala says most of our supply areas are experiencing water shortages due to leakages along the Ebenezer line. “Water sources in the municipality are under strain with levels for two of the reservoirs sitting at 0% meaning the reservoirs are empty.”

Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) this morning, issued a notice that they have identified three leakage spots on the Ebenezer line.They further indicated that they are “gathering materials to embark on repairs on 1 October. LNW said that the repairs would result in a complete stoppage for around seven hours.

The municipality urges all to use water sparingly.
