LIMPOPO – A 46-year-old man from Nirvana in Polokwane was killed during a head-on collision on the R81 before the Lomondekop cross in the Mopani district late on Wednesday afternoon, 11 Septemeber.
Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala says the collision involved a Toyota Etios and a Toyota bakkie.

“The driver of the sedan overtook unsafely and collided head-on with an oncoming bakkie. He died at the scene. The driver and one passenger from the bakkie sustained serious injuries and were taken to Kgapane Hospital for treatment,” he said.
Moremi-Taueatsoala added that the cause of the accident was reckless driving.
