Local training facility, QMS Training successfully trained five members of the community during a complementary five days’ Safety Combination course that was presented recently.
This comes after Polokwane Observer has teamed up with QMS Training to create five free opportunities for unemployed people to enter the labour market with the backing of an accredited qualification.
“The idea was to engage businesses to provide employment to the students after successfully completing the training but no employers came to the party. We received more than 400 applications and chose five persons. They completed the training with success and are available for employment,” Manager of QMS Training, Pieter Brittion said at the handing over of certificates to two of the students on Friday. Brittion said that as a further concession, QMS Training will offer one more training opportunity in a competition that is conducted on the QMS Training Facebook page.
