POLOKWANE – The police have opened cases of rape and house robbery following an incident where two young women were attacked and robbed at a house in Potgieter Street. A 23-year-old woman was raped during incident.
Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the man entered the premises, situated at around 02:50 this morning, broke down the door of the room in which the two victims, aged 18 and 23 were sleeping and threatened them with a knife.
During the incident he raped the 23-year-old victim and later robbed them of their two cellphones, two laptops, their wallets and some of their clothes. The estimated value of the items is around R22 000.
