Demi-Lee moulds her love for pottery through her studio

Pottery runs through Demi-Lee Mostert's veins and is something she fell in love with accompanying her mother, Michelle, to classes at Michell House as a young girl.

POLOKWANE – “It was only till I returned from my studies overseas, early last year that I moved to Alldays and decided to open Demi-Lee’s Pottery Studio. My mom helped with the equipment to start and because I have such a love for pottery and I want to share the fun and joy with others,  I decided to offer pottery classes.”

Demi-lee explains that pottery has been a part of her life for so long, that it felt natural to carry on.

“I make anything as long as it is made from pottery. If there is something that I am not sure about I will do my research to ensure that I give the best product possible. The most difficult part of pottery is putting something in the oven and ensuring that it comes out the way you want. There are a lot of elements that play important roles in the process of each pottery item.”

The most wonderful thing about pottery for Demi-Lee is that for the two or three hours that you are busy, everything around you disappears and you are able to forget and relax… And of course, the beautiful handmade pottery that you get to take home. Her products can be ordered and bought directly from Demi-Lee’s Pottery Studio.

Pottery is only a hobby as Demi-Lee’s is in charge of administration for PJB Boerdery.
