#WFD – Smoky Bacon Pasta with Chicken and Butternut

If you do not eat bacon, you can leave it out of this recipe.

POLOKWANE – This recipe is not only delicious but it is easy to make as well, taking only 10 minutes to make and 30 minutes to cook.

Ingredients

  1. 300g chicken, cubed
  2. 200g bacon, diced
  3. 400g butternut, cut into small cubes
  4. 15ml oil
  5. 230g KNORR Mince Mate Smoky Bacon and Cheddar Flavour
  6. 800ml hot water
  7. 150ml breadcrumbs
  8. 150ml cheese, grated

Method

  1. In a large frying pan, fry the chicken, bacon and butternut in oil for about 4 min or until the butternut starts to feel soft.
  2. Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 800 ml hot water, and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Transfer into a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs and grated cheese and grill for 4 min.
