Polokwane police seek assistance in finding Yanga Mdlankomo from Witbank

Mdlankomo was last seen on 4 July wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

POLOKWANE – Police are requesting assistance in locating 26-year-old, Yanga Mdlankomo from Witbank, Mpumalanga, following his disappearance on 4 July.

In a statement released by Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Mdlankomo left home, allegedly en route to attend school at Tembe College in Giyani.

His family told police that they tried to contact him on the same day, but his cellphone went to voicemail. The school was also contacted but management reported that he was not in attendance.

According to a post made on social media, Mdlankomo was hitchhiking at the time of his disappearance, however, this could not be confirmed by police. 

“At the time of his disappearance, Mdlankomo was wearing blue jeans and black shoes. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts should contact Warrant Officer Peter Mangakeng on 082 728 9831 or the nearest police station,” Ngoepe said.
