Seshego kidnapping: case postponed to August
The case against a 37-year-old man who was arrested for the kidnapping and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl from Seshego, was postponed to August for further investigation.
POLOKWANE – The suspect appeared in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court today (Wednesday, 24 July) on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault. He was arrested in Seshego on 24 June after the victim was found in a shack in the area and has been in police custody since.
Police Spokesperson, Const Maphure Manamela says the suspect was denied bail and will appear in court on 7 August.

POLOKWANE – Police investigations are still underway against a 37-year-old man who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl from Seshego.
The young victim was reported missing by her family on the morning of 23 June 2019. She left home and when she failed to return a search operation was launched until the police, who acted on tip-off from a local resident, traced her to a shack in Seshego the same day.

The suspect was arrested in the same area on 24 June. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim knows the suspect.
The suspect has since appeared in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court, the case will continue tomorrow 10 July. He remains in custody.
